From November 26 through November 29, 2008, an ongoing and coordinated terrorist
attack took place in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India. By the time the attacks ended,
terrorists had killed over 170 and wounded as many as 300 people of various nationalities
and ethnicities. The latest of a string of high-profile terrorist attacks around the world,
Mumbai serves as a reminder to the international law enforcement community that the
need for homeland security—in every country—is greater than ever.
