Voice analysis software
ITVT’s Forensic Voice Stress Analyzer (FVSA) captures and immediately displays subjects’ spoken answers to questions on-screen. The FVSA displays each pattern in its own box to allow examiners/analysts to peruse it prior to accepting it on the final template. Each pattern/answer is recorded, which then can be played back at any time. This provides the examiner with not only a visual display but also audio playback. Language, age, physical impairment, and the influence of drugs or alcohol do not affect the outcome of FVSA tests.

Rugged handheld computer
Trimble announces the Nomad rugged handheld computer. The Nomad is Trimble’s most capable rugged handheld computer. It offers an 806-MHz Marvell PXA320 XScale processor, 128 MB RAM, and a hot-swappable rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. Built-in Bluetooth is standard, with built-in 802.11g wireless communication optional. The Nomad’s touchscreen VGA display is designed to be sharp and clear in sunlight, and it presents maps and other graphics-intensive files in better detail than a typical QVGA display. The Nomad also comes with Windows Mobile 6.0, the latest version of Microsoft’s operating system for mobile devices.
