With over 8,000 credentialed drug recognition experts (DREs) in the world, many agencies have a well-established DRE program with several DREs in their employ. But there are also many more agencies that might have just sent their first officer to DRE school or are considering doing so. There are also those officers who want to be a DRE but are not sure how to convince their command staff to start a DRE program.
