About 20 years ago, the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division identified many tribal agencies that faced obstacles participating in CJIS services. Since then, the FBI has collaborated with partners to overcome participation challenges for more than 200 tribal law enforcement agencies across the United States.
