I joined the IACP to gain perspective beyond my own lens and to share what we were doing locally. Growing up in a small town and spending my career in one city, I wanted to connect with leaders nationwide, learn from their experiences, exchange best practices, and highlight the work of our department. It’s also been a great way to build camaraderie with peers who face similar challenges and goals.
