In October 2020, CBP officers at Otay Mesa, California, seized over 3,100 pounds of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin, marking the second largest meth bust along the southwest border. The seizure, worth an estimated $7.2
million, was made possible through collaboration between CBP, DEA, and HSI. The driver, a 47-year-old Mexican citizen, was arrested and will face criminal charges.
